Sponsor a Promoter
One of the most important ways we fund our programs is to partner with individuals who would like to sponsor our health promoters in their activities.
100% of sponsorship donations go directly to program costs. Our recommended option is the sponsorship of one health promoter’s monthly costs to work as a member of our program. For just $10 a month, we are able to provide all books and educational materials for health promoters and transportation costs for training when they travel to training workshops. Additionally, we are offering a small number of scholarships to our Nicaragua health promoters for further academic training. Many of our health promoters have had to drop out of school due to the costs involved, even though tuition and transportation costs totals only $25 per month. Classes in English, agriculture, and nursing are some of the most common programs that would be funded. Health promoters who have enacted successful programs in their communities and are actively participating are eligible for scholarships for themselves, or a family or community member of their choosing. This scholarship program serves as an incentive for enhanced participation in programs, while enhancing the knowledge of individuals who will bring new skills back to their communities while maintaining the spirit of volunteer activism that is essential to our program.
A full list of promoters is found on our Meet the Promoters Page.
As a program sponsors making a minimum $10 monthly commitment, you will be paired with a specific promoter with the opportunity to follow their village projects, and a clear view into just how valuable, effective, and appreciated your contribution is. We are a transparent, small, and committed organization committed to doing good work and thank you in advance for your partnership without our outstanding team in Nicaragua.
